This course is an introduction to Discrete Mathematics and basic Combinatorics.

Final Exam: December 13, 9:00 - 11:00, Room NS313-3


The final exam is a closed book written test. The range covers Chapters 7 - 10 and Section 11.1 of the textbook, except for Sections 7.5, 8.5 and 9.3.

We will stay pretty close to the following schedule, covering about one chapter of the text per week.

Grading

We will have weekly homework assignments, one mid-term test, and a final exam.
The grades will be accorded the following weights.
Attendance/Homework: 10%
Mid-term: 40%
Final: 50%

Homework

I will assign homework every Friday for the material covered that week.
It will be due to hand in on the following Friday.

Tests

The midterm test is scheduled for the week October 21-26. The final will be in December and its range will cover all material of the semester.
